PARKING

Guests of the Travelodge Chicago usually park with the valet in the lot directly across Harrison Street from our front door.  Please pull up to the valet office under the parking structure, beyond the Pay Here kiosk.  The cost is $39 for cars, vans/SUVs/trucks, per night with in/out privileges.  (For larger vehicles, they charge/quote onsite based on lot capacity, availability, etc.  Buses are $95 & must be pre arranged.)  On the day of departure if the vehicle remains parked after 2pm, there will be an additional $16 charge.

RATES & OCCUPANCY

Rates are based on 1-2 occupants per room.  Each additional occupant increases the room rate by $10.  Some room types have specific occupancy restrictions.  Rates do not include Chicago’s 16.4% hotel tax. Roll away beds are available upon request and subject to availability, but only permitted in the deluxe room with 2 full beds or the king suite.  Limit 1 roll away per room at a cost $10 + 16.4% tax.

ACCOMPANYING GUESTS

Upon check-in, all guests are required to provide the first & last names of all of their accompanying guests.  Any person(s) requesting a key whose name does not appear on the reservation and/or is not able to provide photo identification, will not be issued a key.  However, the primary guest of record is ultimately responsible for the visitors/guests that also may be in the room.

RESERVATION & PAYMENT POLICY

A debit or credit card is required at the time of booking to guarantee your arrival, this does not mean that your reservation is “pre-paid”.  If you are booking a special promotional rate that requires pre- payment, please monitor your card activity to ensure the payment is completed prior to your arrival.

Upon arrival, the cardholder must be present with their photo identification matching the name on the debit or credit card.  Unfortunately we cannot accept cards without a name on it; such as gift cards, etc.

If someone else is paying for your stay, per standard hotel practice, we must have a completed Credit Card Authorization Form on file to process the payment.  This can be found on the Reservations tab, labeled Authorization Forms.

Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the total amount of the stay. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged.  Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.

Paying with cash? Cash paying guests are required upon check in to provide payment for the full amount of their stay as well as an additional $100 deposit which can be refunded upon departure once the room has been verified by Housekeeping.

A $100 cash deposit or valid credit or debit card is still required even if the reservation is pre-paid.

TAX EXEMPT POLICY

Illinois unfortunately does not allow tax exemptions.

CHECK-IN

Our check- in time begins at 3pm and we guarantee that the room will be prepared for occupancy by this time on your day of arrival.  As hard as we try to honor early check-in requests, it is not always possible due to availability.  If a room is ready when you arrive, we’ll be happy to check you in, otherwise we can certainly store luggage for you.  If arriving 11pm or later, please inform the front desk to prevent your room from being cancelled or charged as a no show.

CHECK-OUT

Check out is by 11am on your day of departure.  As hard as we try to honor late check-out requests, it is not always possible due to availability. Late checkout is between 1pm and 5pm, and charged at 50% of the standard room rate. Guests in the room after 5pm will be charged at the full room rate.  Please advise the front desk of late check-out requests.

CANCELLATION

Cancellations are without penalty, unless your confirmation states otherwise.  Please inform the front desk or Central Reservations at least 24 hours before your arrival date, otherwise you will be charged for the full daily rate.  If your reservation is through a third party, please consult their cancellation policy.

DAMAGES & BREAKAGES

Respect, Courtesy and Dignity are the standards by which patrons will be served at the Travelodge Chicago.  Unfortunately there are a few who do not treat our staff or property in a similar manner, and for those we need these regulations.

You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages, which you and/or those that accompany you (whether they are staying in the hotel or not) cause to the hotel. We ask that you please report any incidents as they occur.

While we do not normally charge for minor accidental breakages, we will charge for the full cost of all other breakages, missing items, and for the replacement and/or making good of any damage. Additionally there will be a charge of ____ for soiled bedding, towels, carpets, furnishings and décor caused by, but not limited to, vomit, food and drink stains, blood and bed wetting. The hotel will also charge in full for any lost room nights resulting from any such damage and incidents mentioned in these conditions.

ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOR

Excessive noise, unruly and threatening behavior and the like which causes inconvenience and discomfort to our other guests and/or staff is not acceptable. Such behaviour will result in the offending person(s) being asked to vacate their room and leave the hotel premises and they will be charged for their booked stay for that day.

SMOKING POLICY

We happily provide a 100% smoke free environment.  Violation of this policy results in a $150 deep cleaning fee that is charged to the guest room.  All occupants will be asked to leave the property immediately, but will be charged for their booked stay for that day.

GUEST PACKAGES

The bell men/front desk staff receives and logs incoming packages for our guests, then stores them in a secure area. Please have the items sent to the address below to your attention exactly as your name appears on the reservation. Then upon arrival, please see the bellmen/front desk with your photo identification to sign for and retrieve your packages.

PETS

We are animal lovers at Travelodge Chicago, but pets are unfortunately not allowed within the hotel building, and expressly forbidden inside the hotel room.  Service animals, however, are always welcome.

INTERNET

24 hour WIFI service is provided free of charge throughout our property.  You will receive your access code upon check in.  Every 24 hours you will be required to log in again with the same code.

LOST & FOUND

For lost or misplaced items, please contact Housekeeping directly at 312-376-1482. If you can do so as soon as you realize your item is missing, it is more likely that your item can be found.  Please provide the name on the reservation, approximate dates of stay, room number, and a brief description of the item.  The housekeeping department can then advise you on how to get the item returned to you.
